Grant Mickelson is a country, rock and jazz musician who specializes in electric and acoustic guitar. He also sings and plays mandolin. Currently, he is based out of Nashville, Tennessee.

Grant formerly toured with Taylor Swift playing lead guitar and singing background vocals. He was also part of her 2007 tours with George Strait, Brad Paisley and Kenny Chesney.

Growing up in Iowa, Grant was very active in the local music scene. His passion for the guitar took him to the University of North Texas where he majored in Jazz Studies. In 2004, he moved to Nashville to study music at Belmont University. It was in Nashville that Grant began making contacts in the music industry.

In addition to Taylor Swift, Grant has toured with well-known country performers including Sara Evans and Carolyn Dawn Johnson. He has played lead guitar for Lady Antebellum as well as Damon Smith. Grant’s music career includes performances at the Grand Ole Opry, Ryman Auditorium, Canadian Country Music Association Awards and on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.
